a walk around truthwall common, tregeseal with @carolynkennett (110621) in the mist, revealed an unregistered propped stone at kenidjack tors -two prop stones, one very small, supports a stone that has zoomorphic silhouettes. the top stone can be gently rocked. kenidjack tors, in common with many others which have monuments associated with them, have a number of solutions basins which might be used for ceremonial purposes connected with them. kenidjack can be seen as a significant tor outcrop across a wide area in west penwith and from chun quoit is aligned with winter solstice. from here that alignment towards the winter sun a sea gap opens up toward the scilly isles and possible further burial connections.
